VPay is a relatively new company, using virtual payment cards to facilitate payments between TPAs and their providers and customers. I was responible for architecture, data management, application integration, and reporting. Also responsible for creating data infrastructure, including high-availability clusters, Tableau Server, LogicMonitor, WEByog, etc..

VPay USA | Production Support Developer | 2015-2019

VPay is a relatively new company, using virtual payment cards to facilitate payments between TPAs and their providers and customers. I was responsible for maintaining the platform and managing technological risk. System visibility was added through LogicMonitor as a reporting platform. ActiveBatch was introduced as a process scheduling tool which replaced custom cron and incron triggers. Numerous processes were tuned or rewritten in Python resulting in stability enhancements. Reporting for Business Operations through SQL and Excel. Introduced git/bitBucket for DVCS and Jira for ticketing and management.

Cigna | Database Application Development | 2014-2015

Cigna needed a new, high-performance cost-analysis tool utilizing Cigna's petabyte-scale data servers. I was responsible for finding elegant data transport solutions from various DB2 and Oracle sources to Teradata; build, profile, and tune SQL codebases; QA and analyze data with SAS; automate processes with .ksh scripts and SQL stored procedures. Our team also introduced Agile/Scrum methods and basic DVCS code management to a primarily Waterfall-based enterprise.
